Airships are technological inventions that consist of a vessel that is suspended in air by magic, and sail in the air as if it were water. They are still reliant on the wind to propel them, but can pass over land and sea. They were first conceived by Haditite scientists during the Ionian War, and are the main product of the Halida Industis. The siege of Ieapoli was famously ended by their assault on the city, and the Ionian people became infatuated by airships for a while. Since the war, they have seen massive improvements, and have begun to dominate trade. Their threat to sea travel has become a serious concern in recent years to the old trade powers of the Jacter Islands.
